Style Curator Holly Lyle’s Guide to Paris

1. Where to eat
Paris has so much to offer in terms of cuisine with traditional French cafes like Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots lining the aesthetic streets of Paris. These cafes are great for a morning coffee and croissant fix or to solve a cheeseburger craving but it’s always in the hidden places that you’ll find the true culinary gems! I was lucky to enough to visit a few incredible restaurants during my recent trip so (trust me when I say) do yourself a favour and dine at Parcelles for a super authentic gourmet experience, 110 de Taillevent for the best steak in town, Le Baudeliaire for a Michelin star experience and L’Ecrin at Le Crillon if you want to be blown away with a 5 star experience in one of the best hotels in Paris!
2. Where to stay
Le Grand Hotel Cayre in Saint Germain – we treated ourselves to the Le Grand Suite and oh my goodness it was the most breathtaking balcony view of the Eiffel Tower. Also don’t get me started on the interiors!
Residence Nell Paris in the 9th arrondissement – we always love returning to The Nell for longer length stays in Paris. It’s a spacious modern apartment set-up located in a great area with lots of restaurants and shops surrounding.
Peninsula Paris in Chaillot – now this is the hotel to book when you are looking to splurge! Chic is an understatement, and it’s located in the perfect area to wander along the Champs-Elysees for a spot of shopping!

3. What to pack
Packing is no easy feat when travelling for long trips overseas; you want to be comfortable but you’re travelling to Paris!! so you want to look just a chic as the locals. Mastering the art of packing is something I have been working on over the years with the aim to pack items that can be dressed up or down depending on how you style them. My number one piece that I wore every single day (no joke!) was the Viv Bomber. It’s the perfect mix of casual yet dressy as it can be dressed up with tailored pants or a matching leather skirt like the Panel Midi Skirt or simply with some relaxed denim to keep it casual. I also had to pack the Penelope Patent Midi Skirt for that little pop of colour. It screams luxe and looks great when paired with the matching Clare Scoop Neck Knit.
4. What to see/do
I mean, what isn’t there to see and do in Paris?! Everywhere you look there are the most spectacular sights. I love nothing more than wandering around the Jardin des Tuileries with a coffee and croissant in hand, followed by people watching at the fountain. If you’re a museum nut you will absolutely love Musee Rodin, Louvre Museum, Musee d’Orsay and Petit Palais. Also don’t get me started on the shopping; whether you wander down Rue Saint -Honore, Av. Montaigne or visit Galerie Lafayette, you’ll soon realise that you need to increase your baggage allowance for your return flight home!
