THE SABA-ISTS: Introducing Pepamack, sydney-based fashion influencer

Saturday 14th July, 2018

Sydney-based influencer, Petra Mackova, has a keen eye for all things digital and fashion. Her fresh creative perspective and penchant for a luxe street-style aesthetic first kick-started her career in 2014, and has since evolved her name into so much more. Working with brands across the world, her artistic direction, styling and self-shot content continues to fuel her ever-growing success. With no breaks in sight, get to know SABA-IST – Pepamack.

I start my mornings with…
Early walks with my dog. They are such a refreshment! We always grab a coffee, make some breakfast and slowly get ready for work. I never rush in the morning. I take the time to really enjoy it.

My biggest guilty pleasure is…
Definitely the croissants at the amazing bakery across the street from my place.

I can’t live without my…
Laptop. It’s one of the major tools used for my entire business. When I’m not shooting, I’m editing. I love every aspect of my work.

One thing most people don’t know about me is…
That I’m actually very introverted.

To me, confidence is…
Feeling fit and happy, while being surrounded and working with passionate, energetic people.

I love Sydney because…
It’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with such a great quality of life. I have travelled and lived in some of the greatest places, but in my opinion, Sydney is the best – from the quality of produce in the supermarkets to the always awesome weather. Even when it’s raining, it’s still so beautiful. I’ve never loved the rain so much in any other city.

Every wardrobe needs…
A good quality basic tee in black and white. They are essential, just like a good pair of shoes. A great tee can make an outfit.

The 2018 trend that’s caught my eye…
I’m seeing a lot of sandy nude colours everywhere – in fashion shows, campaigns, etc. I also love all the photography styled using nude hues. I think they are really working well.

My favourite SABA piece would have to be…
The straight-leg Celine Pant. Great fit, great quality and so comfy.

So far, my biggest career highlight has been…
Being interviewed by Forbes magazine. It was such an honour. When they reached out to me, I really felt like my little business was making waves – like I was doing something that people were interested to know more about. I find it interesting that many people don’t know how influencers work, and what their jobs actually entail.
