It’s a wonderful thing to be involved with such a long standing and respected Australian brand. I always think of Saba as being paired back with simplified classics that are well constructed.

For over 50 years SABA has been dressing creative and urban individuals in the city with a penchant for a sharp, minimalist aesthetic. The photographer and filmmaker stays true to his paired back and uncomplicated style, understanding the importance of a well-fitted suit. From growing up in the 90s, you’ll never find a bomber jacket or tailored essentials far from Bart’s wardrobe.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Bartolomeo Celestino’s forte lies in capturing large-format landscape stills, often considered observations of the natural world. Constantly moving and evolving in the realm of time and space, Bart’s chosen subject is the ocean – a more simple and authentic way of viewing the world.

It’s a wonderful thing to be involved with such a long standing and respected Australian brand.

How did you incorporate your look into SABA style?

I always think of Saba as being paired back with simplified classics that are well constructed. I grew up in the 90s, so a bomber jacket is a staple in my wardrobe.

Describe your own style in 3 words.

Paired back and uncomplicated.

What is your favourite piece of clothing or accessory?

A well fitted tuxedo jacket and original 1956 wayfarers. A tuxedo jacket over a white shirt with great jeans is timeless

What inspires your individual look?

I would say Berlin in the 90s and New Wave Cinema.

Who is your style inspiration?

Pier Paolo Pasolini and Jean Luc Goddard.

What about this city inspires your sense of style?

That sea breeze, cooling down the city, always dressing light and balmy nights.

What do you think is unique to Sydney in terms of style?

Layered simplicity and uncomplicated dressing.

Do you think you can tell anything about a person based on their style?

You can’t buy style.

What does your style say about you?

There’s no such thing as originality only authenticity.

What is your favourite city?

In my mind it’s the eternal city, Rome.
